Improved New Covers!
Shiny New Covers
The Kalleron series has recently gone through a facelift. In order to satisfy Amazon’s rather puritanical advertising guidance, I had to remove Kor’A’s bare marble cheeks from the front cover. At first, the whole process was a bit confusing. But I muddled through the FAQs and found the clause about ‘bare buttocks.’ I’ll admit it was a nuisance, especially given that the cheeks in question aren’t those of a human, nor are they flesh. But hey, I’m at the mercy of a marketing empire, and for the books to be seen, I must acquiesce to their counsel.
The unseen moderators, hidden behind a veil of marginally ambivalent customer service, accepted my new design, and the ad went live. For reasons beyond my understanding, and despite gathering ‘impressions,’ few people were clicking my ad. An ‘impression’ is when the advertised product appears on the screen of whatever device is browsing. In my case, a small image of the cover of Melody & Majesty shows alongside a host of other books.
In addition, I reached out to some people on social media and one was kind enough to suggest I make the titles bigger. She had a point—you couldn’t really see the font on the small cover ‘impression.’ So, with some rejigging, I reformatted all four covers, which took a few days of careful thought and action, and released them with their shiny new togs.

Quite swish, I think.
I’m still not getting many clicks, but Amazon Ads are notoriously difficult to master, and I am a novice using their systems. I think the few reviews don’t help prospective ‘clickers,’ but that’s another matter. Onward I go with my new lovelies. Hopefully, at some point, they’ll get the recognition they deserve?
